Title: Echoes of the Drums.

In the shadow of a Carolina plantation, a gifted young boy named Malik discovers an ancient drum hidden among his grandmother’s belongings. Though born into slavery, Malik has an uncanny ability to understand rhythms that seem to speak beyond language. When his grandmother, a Gullah healer, reveals that the drum came from her homeland Sierra Leone Malik begins to learn the ancestral language of his people through music.

The rhythms passed down through generations hold more than history; they carry codes of freedom, spiritual resistance, and maps to hidden paths of escape.

As whispers of rebellion stir among enslaved communities, Malik becomes the unexpected keeper of his people’s heritage and a symbol of hope. The drum becomes a tool not only for remembrance but revolution, tying West African ancestry directly to the American struggle for liberation.
